If JetBlue Airways is going to be your carrier into the wild blue yonder, there are a few bits of information that may come in handy when researching airfare. The company is well-known for offering great deals—with even better service and in-flight amenities—at an exceptionally low cost(especially when you book through TrustFares.com). Purchasing tickets for JetBlue flights couldn’t be easier. With a few mouse clicks, you’ll be well only our way to enjoying that dream vacation on a sandy beach, or a weekend with the in-laws sleeping on a hide-a-bed.
Like most major airlines, JetBlue check in begins 24 hours before take off. Enter your confirmation code on the website and print out your boarding passes to give yourself an easier time at the airport. Drop your bags at curbside check in and head straight for security. The time that you save can be spent napping at the gate or enjoying some pre-flight adult refreshments at the terminal lounge.
With around 100 destinations, JetBlue has a flight heading in your direction. Get your ticket through TrustFares.com and enjoy the style, entertainment, and pricing that a worldly traveler like you deserves.Hopefully, you’ll be dining on the freshest local seafood at your beach-side villa. If not, make sure to tell your mother-in-law how much you love her tuna casserole.
JetBlue Baggage Fees
You won’t be crying the blues over JetBlue’s baggage fees. Like nearly everything associated with the airline, the luggage charges for checked bags are lower than most of the competition. Depending on your fare option, you might have to pay a nominal fee for your first checked bag, or it may be free.Second bags are affordable, too. They are either complementary or have a small charge. Three bags is the tipping point; no matter your fare option, expect to shovel out a hefty fee for your third bag and each thereafter. If the weight of your checked suitcase is over 50 pounds, you’re going to have to fork over some fun money, too. So, put the heavy clogs in your carry on bag.
That isn’t all the JetBlue baggage info that you’re going to need, though. You’re going to have a carry on bag or two, right? It doesn’t take a mind reader to figure out that you can take a small overnight suitcase and one personal item like a purse, laptop bag, or backpack. As long as it fits in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you, you should be good to go. Just make sure the contents can pass through the security gate. Check the JetBlue website for the most current list of banned items. The TSA list gets updated more often than Kanye gives himself a compliment.
JetBlue Pet Policy
If you’re planning on taking your four-legged friend with you on your journey, you’ll be happy to know that the JetBlue pet policy can accommodate your wish. The airline prides itself on being one of the most stylish carriers in the skies, so please make sure that you and your pet are wearing your matching sweaters.
Family pets like dogs and cats are always welcome on JetBlue flights, provided that your furry buddy remains in its carrier for the duration of the flight. The airline even has a free pet-passenger program called Jet Pawswhich earns you 300 frequent flier points! That might be their way of softening the blow of the non-refundable pet fee—each way.
Guide dogs and emotional support animals are allowed to fly with you and do not need to be kept in a carrier. However, they must remain on the floor or on your lap. Keep them out of the aisle, also. It would be a shame if the flight attendant stepped on Rocky’s tail while demonstrating how to operate the oxygen mask. Make sure to check the company’s website to get all of the current JetBlue pet travel rules and regulations. You’d hate to show up at the airport with Mittens in tow only to realize that Bengal tigers weren’t allowed on international flights.
JetBlue Rewards Program
As you might expect, the JetBlue rewards program—TrueBlue—is on another level compared to those of other airlines. Instead of flying at 35,000 feet, JetBlue takes its loyalty membership to the stratosphere—and we don’t mean the one in Vegas! The sense of euphoria that you feel is from the amazing club, not from the pre-flight adult beverages.
For starters, there are no blackout dates and you can use JetBlue miles—or points—for any seat at any time. Plus, points don’t expire and with family pooling, you can share and earn points together (not that you’d want to, but you can). It’s easy to enroll, just sign up on the JetBlue website and start racking up the points. You can save with TrueBlue promotions as well as on purchases with any of the airline’s dozens of partners. The airline is always adding new benefits so refer to the website for up-to-date information.
In addition to points, JetBlue has gamified its loyalty program by allowing TruBlue members to earn badges as symbols of recognition and reward. These aren’t scouting badges and you don’t have to sew them on a sash, thank goodness. Instead, you collect badges by flying on JetBlue, sharing on your social network, and interacting with the airline’s partners. Some badges even earn TrueBlue points.
JetBlue Seat Information
Let’s face it, the main reason that passengers choose JetBlue is because of the in-flight service and amenities. They don’t want to be herded like cattle, have a bag of stale pretzels thrown at them, and be forced to watch reruns of 1980ssitcoms. Instead, they want the JetBlue seats with all the legroom as well as brand-name snacks and soft drinks, not to mention free Wi-Fil and satellite television and radio.
If the legroom in the JetBlue seat selection in coach doesn’t do it for you, you can pay for a roomier Even More® Space seat. The affordable upgrade gets you so much added a room, you could entertain your fellow passengers with a cello concerto. (Please don’t though.) You also get priority boarding and first dibs on overhead storage.
To travel in true JetBlue swanky style, make sure to book your ticket in the Mint section—the airline’s first class seats. Faster check-in and early boarding are a given. But the seats! Oh, the seats! They lie flat so you can take a proper nap, and you can adjust the firmness so you don’t get caught in Papa Bear’s bed. Plus, they have a massage feature! That’s right, and in-flight massage! The Mint treatment doesn’t stop when you touch down at your destination, either. You’re the first one to deplane and your bags are the first off the carousel. Why can’t all airlines be like this?
